is there an article which states how to upgrade from msde 7.0 to msde 2000 ??
any help will be appreciated

If you download the new MSDE SP4 you'll find the requested information in
ReadmeSql2k32desksp4.htm documentation,section 3.2.4 Upgrading MSDE 1.0 to
MSDE 2000 SP4.
