| Hello,
Operating system - Windows XP professional
My problem is with downloads from my company FTP site, everything I download
from this site is corrupt once I try to open/run it from my home computer.
Whether it is a zipped file or native file. I also get a similiar problem
when I open media player files that have been emailed to me....file is
damaged or corrupt....error.
I have talked to our IT person at work and his suggestion is to reinstall my
XP operating system. I was looking for another solution and maybe cause to
this problem.
So if anyone can help by first letting me know what the possible problem is
with my computer and secondly another solution to the problem other than
reinstalling my operation system.

Thanks all

| This forum is for other purposes, but your issue may be related to your FTP
software downloading these files as text (ascii) instead of binary, which all
..zip, multimedia, etc files should be transferred as.
