next question: selection of newsgroups

| I'm wondering how to interpret the listing of available newsgroups on the
msdn site. Does this list express the limit on which subjects msdn will
provide support on?? For example, I posted a message about a problem that
I had on mp.windowsnt.registry, which is apparently not a supported
newsgroup. However, nothing in the list looks even remotely related to
registry management via software... how do I handle these questions?? Or
should I post such questions to mpm.general (i.e., here), and wait for you
to say "no, stoopid, that question goes to xxxx" ?? 8-{)

Unfortunatley I do not see anything under the MSDN managed newsgroups that
would would fit your question.. Are you writing the application to access
the registry.. If so maybe we could look at it the problem from a different
perspective..What language are you using to write the application.. And
then maybe we can submit the question to a newsgroup based on the language
you are using or the tools you may be using... Does that make sense?

Hmmm... I take it that you are agreeing that in the general case, if I
have a Windows software development question that does not fit into
msdn's existing software categories, I will not generally be able to get
assistance with the issue, even though I purchased a subscription to
MSDN, is that a correct interpretation of the situation??
