Author Which Admin-Approved Behaviors for MSDN Library web pages to work properly?

2005-02-07, 3:56 am

In the IE security zone settings, setting "Binary and script behaviors"
to "enable" lets the MSDN Library web pages work properly. Setting it
to "Administrator approved" breaks (since I obviously haven't nailed
down which behaviours it needs).

I gotten as far as "/library/shared/deeptree/htc/deeptree.htc" and
have entered it in gpedit under Local Computer Policy/Computer
Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Internet
Explorer/Security Features/Binary Behavior Security Restriction.

However ... no joy. Does this have anything to do with the fact
that the gpedit help for this widget states that the behaviors
have to be entered in #package#behavior notation, meaning binary
behaviors but not script behaviors (and it's script behaviors
that the MSDN Library web pages seem to need)?

Or in other words, how to you configure IE to use admin-approved
behaviors and still have the MSDN Library web pages work properly?

Thanks.

PS. Entering #default#userData does enable Beta Updates preference
on Windows update ... but that's a binary behavior.

PPS. What's the identifier for the
filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(opacity=???)
IE CSS filter behavior so I can admin-approve it?
