MSDN Library Jan 2005 installation problem

Am trying to install the MSDN Library Jan 2005 on my hard disk
The minimal installation goes through fine
But when ever I choose the option 'This feature will be installed on local
hard drive', the installation fails saying
'The wizard was interrupted before MSDN Library - January 2005 could be
completely installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time,
please run setup again.'

To make sure it's not a problem with the cds I had dumped all the 3 cds to
my hard disk and tried installing, without any success

Any ideas as to what the cause for the problem might be ?!?
