| I made 2 posts 5 days regarding an inability to successfully install msdn
library for vs.net & the unreadability in many areas of the online version.
5 days and not a peep ! so much for managed newsgroups :(
so now that that is out of the system, i will try once more -
can anyone tell me where one can find any documentation on the microsoft
document viewer ?
In vs.net I hit F1 and after some time the appropriate online help content
is displayed.
however i can't look for any related info because although the current
content is what I asked for, the index and all filters are nothing but SQL
Server 2005 !!!!!!
what the *&%$^ is with this crap ?
oops , am I ranting again ?

| I (and 1 or 2 others) complained on 11/10 that we can't install Vista -
not a peep from the 'managed' side of MSDN.

First of all, you received a reply. It might not have been from Microsoft,
but that is not their 2 day guarentee!! They say you will receive *a* reply
within 2 days.
More importantly, you and gerry are posting to msdn.microsoft.msdn.general.
This is *not* a managed newsgroup. See if you can find it in this list!!

| I can only tell you that I do not get this problem. If I hit F1 in VS2005,
as you say, I get the appropriate help content. However, all items are still
available in the left hand column, no filters are set, all links in the
given page work and a search tab is available behind the main document page.
It all seems to be working as it should.
VS2005 Professional, VS2005 Tools for Office, SQL server 2005 Developer,
Windows XP Professional SP2.

| Equally, I have no problem viewing online MSDN. You may have a problem with
your graphics card/drivers.
