Where can we find the uninstall instructions for the VS2005 Release
candidate? Or, does it need to be uninstalled?

Thanks

yes,
Important: remove any beta/CTP/RC versions of Studio/Framework first:

vs_uninst.exe
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=47598

There's an uninstaller and instructions here:

It's apparently REALLY important to get this stuff right - don't just bang
the RTM over the top.

Cheers,

The DVD image that is currently posted is keyless, as were the CD images for
x64 and IA64 that were previously posted. The 32-bit CDs, however, were the
retail versions that needed a key. My apologies for the confusion, we're
updating the files now. The DVD image, if you can download it, will not
prompt you for a key.

Sorry about that - my bad.
