purchasing MSDN Universal

| I did a search of this forum and didn't find anything addressing this, so
here goes. I'd like to buy MSDN to have the different OS's and VStudio.
Thing is, it's more of a hobby than anything else. I know there are some
places where you can legitimately buy MSDN for less than the microsoft.com
price of $2200. Anyone want to share their favorite discount retailer for
MSDN Universal?

| You will find that some retailers sign you up under their licensing
agreement and are extremely cheap, but be wary, as you are not really the
"owner" then. There are some legitimate deals (legitimate all around) that
are less expensive than full retail, but you have to keep an eye out.
If you can legitimately purchase an academic license, they are MUCH cheaper,
but also aimed for learning rather than Enterprise development.
