MSDN Academic Universal subscription

| I get MSDN Universal subscription at work on DVDs; my husband is
wanting his own for use at home and since he is a student, can get an
academic version cheaper (sku 2126 version, not 2030). I am not able
to find out if he has a choice of also getting DVDs instead of a bunch
of CDs. The seller doesn't know and told him to call MS but they also
were iffy about it. I hate having all those CDs to keep track of -
the old ones at work are all over the place. Anyone with an academic
version know about this? Thanks, ER Slansky

I had an Academic Enterprise Edition and yes, you do have a
choice of CD vs DVDs. When you purchase the Subscription you
get a box with a form inside (among other things). You fill out
the form and send it (or I believe they also give you a URL
where you can do the same). So you fill out the form and send
it (via mail or online) and there you select CDs or DVDs. Note:
You start receiving the media after you send the form.
WHen I got it MS was offering a $200USD rebate on the
cost of the subscription if I selected DVD, which I did. I do
not know if this offer still stands.
Good luck!
