Author Can't uninstall/install MSDN Library

I am using Windows XP SP1 and Visual Studio .NET 2003 Enterprise.

When I tried to uninstall the January release of the MSDN Library, I got the
following message in the event log:

Product: MSDN Library - January 2004 -- Removal failed.
Source: MsiInstaller , EventID: 11725

So I got some advise of setting the DisableRollback=1 in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mic
rosoft\Windows\Installer

Now I could remove the entry from Add/Remove Programs, but the MSDN files
was still there.

When I now try to install the April 2004 of MSDN, I get the following
message in the eventlog:

Product: MSDN Library - April 2004 -- Installation operation failed.
Source: MsiInstaller , EventID: 11708

On another computer I ended up reinstalling the Windows XP just for
upgrading the MSDN library. There has to be some other way of upgrading the
MSDN Library ???
