Author XP SP2 API's on MSDN?

I realize that XP SP2 is in beta, but there is a reference to the document
"Changes to Functionality in Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Windows XP" on
MSDN now.

My question is this: This document refers to new API calls (well, I assume
they are new), such as: "If the user consents to this, then the service
should use the INetFwOpenPort API to add rules to Windows Firewall to open
the fixed port or ports needed by the service."

I searched MSDN and could not find any reference to INetFwOpenPort (or
INetFwAuthorizedApplication, etc.). Am I just not searching correctly or
are the docs on them not publicly available?

The documentation on those functions are not publicly available. I doubt
that they've settled down yet :-)

I don't think those APIs were implemented in Build 2055 (the one currently
posted for MSDN Subscribers). Based on Sections III.D and IV.R of the
consent decree, Microsoft is expected to document new APIs at the same time
as releasing a beta which implements those APIs to MSDN subscribers or to
any 150,000 recipients outside of Microsoft. The doc file which is currently
available for download was updated around Build 2082, but Microsoft has only
released 2082 to technical beta testers at this point, and I suspect that
those APIs aren't even working yet in 2082 (but that's just a guess).

The Platform SDK team is responsible for documenting Win32 APIs. Officially,
they're still working on their October 2003 release, which they started more
than a year ago. Email them at sdkfdbk@microsoft.com if you'd like to
encourage them to bust a move.
