I have a strange issue. I sold a client the retail (Part # 389-00157)
version of this software. From my reading because he belongs to a
competitor's development network (i.e. IBM, Apple) he qualifies to by
the MSDN upgrade rather than the full.

Well anyways he bought it and couldn't activate it. The series of
numbers on the activation card isn't even the right amount of digits
(he got: 55XXX-XXX-004XXXX).

MS diagnosed the problem as an old version of MSDN and to return it.
They said they changed the activation number strings in Marach 2004.
So I did and special ordered one from a supplier who had no stock, in
theory to get a new one from MS.

Same problem. I returned it.

So the client still wants to but this package but obviously I'm
reluctant to even try again.

Thanks,

Ed
