IIS Configuration - Access Denied

I'm having a problem getting my web site up and running. Executing it on the
server using localhost the site comes up fine. If I try to use the URL
either from the server or an external machine I get the SSL ceritifacte and
then an "Access Denied" message. If I disable SSL I still get the "Access
Denied" message, so I don't think that's where the problem lies. I have ISS
configured for anonymous access. My site was developed with ASP.NET. Is
there a checklist somewhere to troubleshoot this type of problem? Any
suggestions would be appreciated.
