| I'm switching to C# purely because it's an entirely different syntax so I
won't start typing VB code in to C# or C# in to VB6. Ok, also figure that
I'll have more fun working with something entirely new too, but that's not
an easy thing to justify to the boss, so I don't tell him that.
Go on over to the Microsoft downloads and download one of the express
products. That's where I started learning C# and they're free. I bought the
full Visual Studio when I got a "real" project to work on... not that the
express editions can't do "real" projects.

| Since Microsoft broke the last "covenant"
there are separate groups for .Net questions:
microsoft.public.dotnet.general
microsoft.public.dotnet.languages.vb
microsoft.public.vsnet.general
microsoft.public.vstudio.general
microsoft.public.vstudio.setup

VB.NET will be easier to learn unless you are already an experienced C++
programmer.
