Hi...

Novice here so hopefully this isn't too dumb for most of you:

I'm building a SMALL VB6 (not .NET) app... to track names/addresses
w/comments to see who's been contacted and for what. Development PC is XP
Pro... client PC is an older (3-5 years) laptop.

1. I just found out about Package & Deployment Add-in... loaded it and also
VB6 SP6

2. Wiped out the client laptop hard drive and re-installed Win98SE

3. Ran P&D Wizard... created a "package" folder... added a simple
autorun.inf... and used Nero to burn a CDR.

4. Loaded CDR onto client laptop... churned some and said "update older
files?"... answered "ok" to update... and system re-booted. Upon reboot...
system crashed.

4a... I opened MY COMPUTER first... got "invalid instruction when 98 tried
to fill in "My Computer"... nothing else will run
4b... I just loaded CDR... system loaded and... when I clicked on "My
Computer"... same as above

What am I missing??
Thanks in advance,
Steve
