Is there any good FTP control on the market that will allow multiple
connections to be open at the same time?

Right now, I'm using the Mabry control (FTP/X) and it doesn't)

Assuming there's a reason why the native Microsoft Internet Transfer control
doesn't work for you, try http://www.rhinosoft.com/ftptree.asp.

Yes, the MIT was flaky at its best, when I tried it...

Whew - - these rhinosoft guys are really proud of their control! - - - a
thousand dollars is a little pricy for a single control......
I was hoping for something in the $100-$200 price range....

Thanks anyway.

I though you wanted something that worked, now you add "and costs almost
nothing". You get what you pay for. For example, Rhinsoft's control is the
only I know of that can actually handle FTP to MVS with PDS and PDSE's and
parse the directory listing correctly. Everything else we looked at blew up
here (including Microsoft).

BTW, I've never found the Microsoft control flaky (incapable of handling MVS
PDS, but that was "works as designed"), but since you didn't specify your
operation system, perhaps that's the issue.

Have a look at http://www.chilkatsoft.com/ChilkatFtp.asp to see if it does
what you want - it's also Free and, for my somewhat limited use perfectly
stable.
