ASP .NET - Server Control and VS 2003

Server Control and VS 2003

I've built a control that I need to load into the Visual Studio 2003 toolbox.
When I do I get the following error popup:

"Insufficient state to deserialize the object. More information is needed"

I don't believe it is the control it is a pretty simple control actually.
Nevertheless, can someone tell me what this error means and possible ways to
correct it?
