Author Programmatically changing the app mappings in IIS?

I was wondering if there is any way to programmatically change=
the app mappings in IIS? It's easy enough to add a new app=
mapping by simply going to the IIS snap-in, and in the Home=
Directory property page just clicking the configuration=
button=2E=2E=2E But is there any way to do this programatically?

I know the settings are stored in the MetaBase=2Ebin file in the=
%system32%\inetsrv directory, but I can't find a good way to=
edit that, either :(

Any help would be appreciated!
