| Thanks,
I am convinved that this must be a process security issue. When the request
is generated on the server it must run in a thread with right security to be
redirected whereas when it comes in via the NIC somehow, it does not have the
correct credentials. I am simply ignorant with regard to at what point
MOSS2007 or ASP.NET 2.0 takes over from IIS (I assume as soon as it hits
ISAPI?). That then begs the question, does ASP.NET 2.0 do the redirect or
does IIS?

PS I am crossposting this to
microsoft.public.sharepoint.setup_and_administration and
microsoft.public.inetserver.asp.general
Mr. Walsh: with my first post, I too was ignorant of the 'Advanced' button.
Please don't be mad ;)
