Author Acceptable CPU Loading

Hi,

I have an ASP page that loads the server CPU to about 50% for a few seconds until it completes. The time duration depends on the number of records returned from a database. The CPU loading is largely unaffected by the number of records in a query.

Is this amount of loading acceptable for an ASP page on IIS 5.0? Also, is there a white paper around that provides some sort of guidance on this issue?

Thanks in advance,
Tim M
