Author Using an expect script to write a file...

I'm having a problem finding out how to write a file using expect. Is
it even possible?

What I am doing is using expect in a unix shell with TL1 to get some
info. I need to take only parts of that info and write it to a file.

After I send a request, the info comes back. is there a way to expect
something, then write the next line of the info to a file, then skip
the rest?
