Installing TclPlugin 3.1
|

| Hello,
I'm trying to install tcl plugin v3.1 on Linux Firefox 1.5.0.6. I open
tclplugin31-win32-ix86.xpi with firefox (from root account),
installation starts -> Extensions window opens, there is the tcl plugin
item in here, but it disappears very fast, I can't even see what's going
on with it. No errors. Just silence.
Plugin still isn't installed of course...
What's wrong? Any ideas?

The platforms (Linux and win32) appear not to match. No idea what .xpi
is so I can't tell whether this is significant.

Sorry, my bad. I've tried to install linux plugin version of course. I
just downloaded both version (win32 and linux) into one directory and I
pasted wrong file name here :)

Noting that you got the linux version, did you try to visit a page? The
"item disappears" part is actually correct. Mozilla's "extension"
mechanism is a bit overloaded for plugins as well. An extension (like
GreaseMonkey) would remain there, but plugins do not. Go to
'about :plugins' to see what plugins you have actually loaded.

That is correct.
Now I have another problem. I can't run any script with the plugin, even
from http://www.tcl.tk/software/plugin/applets.html.
There is a gray rectangle in the place of applet, but nothing appears :/
I've tried it with all of Firefox, Opera 9 and Konqueror. Same effect.
Any suggestions?
