ISO: simplified chinese (gbk) to postscript filter

I've a developer who needs to take text encoded as "gbk" simplified
chinese and create postscript that can be sent to a printer; currently
he's using solaris 8.
Does anyone have pointers to such a tool?

Linux, rather than Solaris, but I'd guess that ports of everything
exist on most Unixes:
