| I've looked through the newsgroup, along with the wiki, and I was wonder
ing if there are any ports of Tcl/Tk to the PalmOS that are more recent
than PalmTcl. In addition is there any posibility of having extensions,
such as Incr Tcl, available on a Palm device?
If there aren't any Tcl ports that will do what I'm after how feasible
would it be to use Jacl instead? The Jacl website doesn't mention Tk at
all, so is it correct to assume Tk is not part of Jacl?

According to Joe Keen <jkeenSpam@no.spam.comcast.net>:

I don't know of any more recent ports. Things along that line seem
to have quieted down for a while. Mac Cody's likely been very busy
with other things, as I've not seen him around here for a while.
:In addition is there any posibility of having extensions,
:such as Incr Tcl, available on a Palm device?
I've not seen anyone specifically announce this. I'd think that
someone with the time and interest probably could find old versions
of interesting extensions to try to port to PalmOS.
:If there aren't any Tcl ports that will do what I'm after how feasible

I've not heard of anyone who has ported Jacl to the PalmOS - so
it would be a new adventure for you to take on. Anyone know the
memory requirements of Jacl?
:The Jacl website doesn't mention Tk at

I believe that there's a Java class called Swank which is basically
to Jacl what Tk is to Tcl.
