VAST 5.5.2 under VMWare problem
|

| Hi All,
I'm trying to run one of my VAST 5.5.2 programs (actually more than one) on
VMWare version 3.5.0 build 64607, running Windows server 2003 R2 SP2. The
programs stops almost immediately with the same message and same fault address
of: 0x00050060.
The failing message is:
"Faulting application MyProgram.Exe, version 5.5.2.0, faulting module
MyProgram.Exe, version 5.5.2.0, fault address 0x00050060".
There are no walkbacks and no VM dump.
Any help/ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Lou

No. As a last resort I may try that. It has been suggested that this is a DEP
problem and I am looking for ways around it. If it is a DEP problem, the newer
VM may fix it but I'm not sure. I would be a little hesitant to use a new VM
and the new DLLs as I would worry about other problems that may crop up running
an old image.
Thanks, Lou
