| There is a petition up on the web site of the UK Prime Minsiter regarding
software idea patents.

The petition is not well worded IMO but it is the right sentiment.
Any UK citizen or UK resident can sign, and I urge you to do so if you
can. Software idea patents are a Very Bad Thing for everyone in the
software industry with a very few exceptions. Software idea patents are a
Very Good Thing for patent lawyers.
