problems about loading "MethodWrapper.pcl"

| hi, everyone.
i have a prolems.
i have downloaded "MethodWrapper.zip" from
"http://st-www.cs.uiuc.edu/users/brant/Applications/MethodWrappers.html".
i unzip it and load "MethodWrapper.pcl" to VisualWorks
NonCommercial, 7.4.
when VisualWorks loads "Special Method Compiler", it emits a error
message "The format of the class SpecialMethodCompiler is incompatible
with its format in the system. Load aborted."
i do not know what it means and how can i do to correct it.
can somebody give me some advices?

That is an old version for VW3, see here for newer versions:
