Hi,

when I used ghost the last time, I thought of a question:

* What if Ghost is written in Smalltalk and run in Squeak without any
Operating System?

I'm not able to do this, but thinking it's interesting, I post the idea
here.
Since Squeak is said to be able to run as its own operating system on
bare machine, it sounds good to write Ghost like system recovering
software in Squeak. That will be stronger than ghost since one can have
internet access and any other things Squeak provides when doing backup
and recovering. The system may even be built into special ROM and can
utilize web services like Google and Gmail for search and storing
personal Squeak image. This adds value to their products. And Squeak
system recovery can be run on an OS or when PC booting (by itself).
More, some company like Intel and Google and others may be interested
in these thus brings Squeak to every PC.

Best Regards
Jim
