| Hello,
I want to develop a trading system in Smalltalk .
Are there any available frameworks for free? (I want to lose money in
trading, not on buying software:))
Thanks
Vlastimil

| Dear Vlastimil,
investing money in software might be much more efficient to get to the point
to be able to lose money by trading.
There is a commercial trading solution I know of. Please contact SOOPS in
The Netherlands: http://www.soops.nl/
Good luck trading!

Soops offers a trading system tailored for day traders, it connects to
the EuroNext systems through a so-called Certified Access Point which is
a bundle of machines, an encrypted land line and a satellite data feed
that you need to lease from the EuroNext. Leasing this CAP from EuroNext
will set you back well above $10.000/month, so I expect this system is
not exactly what you have in mind.
I expect a system like TradePerformance will come closer to your
requirements:

Check out www.alchemetrics.com, it's from the same folks that created
Dolphin Smalltalk. Perhaps they will include part of the software they
developed in D6 as sample applications.
