Happy new year,

2005 will be a great year for Smalltalkers and we hope some or all of these events happen:

SmallScript for .NET ( S#.NET ) will be released,
Dolphin 6 will be released,
Smalltalk-MT will be updated to create .NET Components
Ambrai will leave Beta state
VMX Smalltalk for .NET will leave Beta State
#Smalltalk will present a new version which makes use of Generics
Smalltalk/X will present a new version
Squeak 4 with full BlockClosures and JIT will be released
We started LSWVST.Net and hope to have a first version in fall '05
Pollock and the new native GUI framework Chagall will advance further
We will see ObjectStudio's .NET Version
VSE' s Virtual-Machine will be released to the public-domain.
VAST will be updated further for Windows XP SP2 and Linux

None of these events will happen for sure but let's all hope.

Happy Smalltalking,
Frank Lesser, www.lesser-software.com

Is that just something you'd like to see, or has there been a rumor floating
around?

And yeah, I'd really like to see Dolphin 6 RealSoonNow (Hi Andy ;))
