Catching SMTP Errors

Hi all,
I would like to know from someone the coding mechanism to read an
e-mail in my account and distinguish the bounced mail from the others. I
would also like to know the possible ways of catching SMTP errors in the
bounced mails and displaying it to the users to let them know the reason why
the mail bounces back. suggestions will be most appreciated.anyone please...
