I do not teach and never will since I would be a bad teacher (my
brother actually is teacher). However, I am in the process of
completing my PhD in physics. Currently I am faced with the peer-review
process because I would like to have the gist of my PhD published in a
journal. If I hadn't a co-author with a good name in the field I would
have been long kicked out of the peer-review process. For 2 years I
have been fighting with reviewers now (some have really stepped out for
lunch).

I hope the next journal will accept it; I have some external report
from a colleague in the field - who also wrote in the top magazine
"Nature" - who said my PhD work is very good. I get a bit nervous
because my boss runs short of money for my funding and we are looking
now for a post-doc position.

Life is hard.
