Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics (or Why Deja News was a Neat Idea)

| After recently posting in response to Bear responding to me (as such
things go on Usenet), I was just poking around a bit on groups.google
as that is the posting interface I am using right now. I am apalled to
find that I am (under an older email address) the #3 all-time poster to
c.l.s!
And get this: Bear is #2!
Number 1 is ... drumroll please ... Anton van Straaten
So either we've got the best spam filters, or all you groovy academics
out there that make c.l.s worthwhile keep migrating from institution to
institution in search of Tenure. Or maybe there really *is* a Scheme
Underground which is busily removing all traces of itself even from
Google's DBs...hmmm, Olin Shivers didn't make the list, neither did
Shriram Krishnmurthi, but wait! Mike Sperber just makes it into the top
10. Does that make Mike the 'Gerry Adams' of the Scheme Underground?
But wait, there is no Scheme Underground.
