Loosing oracle connection!

Hi. Lately I've seen examples on oracle-connection dropouts. The
application simply looses connection while waiting for an off-site OLE
session to close down. I other words:

We read a blob from the database
We transfer this blob to an ole-control
We show the document
We wait for the document to close in a yield()-loop¨
When we return to the application leaving the loop, the
databaseconnection is gone

Have You seen anything like that?
Can you help me?
