| I've been in contact with Borland asking them questions about registering
their products and the guy is very nice but says he has no information on
D3...
I need to know if I were to obtain a copy of D3 do I need to register it...
The gentleman at Borland states that v5 and 6 will work fine if not
registered but that he does not kow about v3... He states that "Please be
aware the product is an older product and has been desupported. We have no
way to offer registration for this product as the registration system has
been removed. There also no longer an upgrade path for this product as we do
not offer this product version"
Could someone let me know if v3 will work w/o electronically registering it?
I have been told I need v3 for a specific project and that the person had
attempted to convert to D4 and D5 due to "incompatabilities in service
procedures and functions" so that is why I am so interested in an older
version...
Many thanks,
Babs

| Let me finish this thought:
.....that the person had attempted to convert to D4 and D5 but due to
"incompatabilities in service procedures and functions" he was unsuccessful
so that is why I am so interested in an older version...
Many thanks (again),

| I can't answer for sure but I did reinstall my Delphi 3 Pro on an old
computer a few months ago just "playing around" and it was on there
for over 3 months and I never had any problems with it...

If you need it, I can offer my services for porting this old D3 application
to the current Delphi release. Contact me my email if interested.

| My Delphi 3 works perfectly without any need for registration.
Cheers,
Laurie.
