Planned new features of the 5.5 development cycle of SWI-Prolog are
completed. In other words, the current 5.5.15 release will only
undergo bugfixes before being released as 5.6.0.

5.5.15 brings:

* UNICODE support for Prolog and most of the (foreign)
libraries, notably the XML/RDF parser, RDF-DB library
and XPCE. This allows easy handling of multi-lingual
documents.

* Many improvements to the RDF datastore. Including
Sesame (www.openrdf.org) compliant client/server
(you can use the Prolog client with the Sesame server
or the Sesame Java client with the Prolog server).
See http://www.swi-prolog.org/packages/SeRQL
Also many changes to the Triple20 RDF editor.
See http://www.swi-prolog.org/packages/Triple20

* Added clp(R) (ported by Leslie Koning from Leuven)

* Many improvements to CHR and bounds (simple fd
constraint solver) by Tom Schrijvers.

Of course there are many small improvements, including better
portability on many UNIX/Linux/POSIX systems, support for "make
install DESTDIR=..." needed by many package generators.

SWI-Prolog is distributed under the LGPL and available from
http://www.swi-prolog.org

Enjoy --- Jan
