Program poster fails when scale factor is specified

Dear All,
Program poster gives Segmentation fault when scale factor is
specified. All other options work fine, except cases like the
following,
/usr/bin/poster -v -s1.0 -mLegal test.eps > testposter.ps

All I get is a segmentation fault without any explanation. Could any
kind soul tel me what is wrong here?

Is there any other program with similar usage?
