I have vi's for the HP 3456A & HP 3457A DVM's that have GPIB
connections. These came in a copy of Labview 4.1 for the Macintosh
Is there enough of a difference between the GPIB operation of the HP
3455A from that of the HP 3456A such that my use the HP 3456A vi will
give me bad data if used with my HP 3455A ??

Thanks in advance.

First of all I would go here to get the new drivers and just try them
and see.

There is probably not that much different. Sorry cannot help more.

Dear Dan!
Thank you for choosing National Instruments.

I am guessing that when you say VIs, you are taking about IVI
drivers. Now, it may be possible that these are different in operation
depending on the instrument and the VIs themselves.

Usually the VIs are compatible with multiple models of the
instrument. You can check if this is the case in the documentation of
the drivers. However, you can search our driver network to see if
there is a specific driver for the HP 3455A that someone has
submitted. If that is the case, We would suggest you use those in
order to avoid bad data.

Thanks and Regards
