The standard doesn't address that.... or a bunch of other matters
related to TRANSFER. One could read the standard as implying that it
ought to work, but that reading would probably be subject to debate. In
practice, I would not expect it to work. I sure wouldn't count on it.
And if it happened to one one compiler, I sure wouldn't count on that
meaning much about others either.
