Your "brief/powerful" [sic] demo did nothing of the sort.
1. It used 22 statements.
2. It contained major bugs.
All you did was demonstrate that you are incapable of writing
a correct program

Reducing blanks can be done faster and shorter in PL/I
in 12 statements.
