The French language police have failed to prevent the widespread use of the
word 'medias'. Is that perhaps a hyper-plural?

Or the feminine for mediums ?


The French language police has been muted down by a revolution in 1990
when all words of Latin or foreign origin got allowed to follow normal
rules for accents and plurals.
un satisfécit, des pénaltys, allégro, les médias, des gentlemans...

un media d'information, les media (former spelling),
un média, les médias (now accepted)
