Are you sure the IT folks gave you read permission on the license files?
I had a similar problem when I did not have read permission.

Out of curiosity, was the "heartache" deliberate or a typo?

As far as I can tell, it was more of an oversight. The intel install script doesn't chmod
644 the license file and the instructions don't say you need to.

Speaking of liking, I'm warming up to the ifort compiler. With no optimisation it compiles
code very fast on my initial tests. Once I get the netCDF library built right, I better
start writing out the purchase order....

(Did you hear, Gerry? No freeloadin' goin' on here! :o)
