Any advance on 64-bit compilers for SML?

I just rediscovered MLj, which looks very exciting but I can't compile it
without using a legacy chroot because its written in SML. Anyone for a CAML
compiler targetting the JVM?

The upcoming release of MLton (currently in beta) will be available
for 64 bit systems. You can try the release candidates today:

PolyML (Version 5) has been supporting amd64 since the beginning of
the calendar year:
