"Convenience" shouldn't matter. If an embryo is a person, then the
only valid reason for abortion should be to save a life.
But if an embryo is person, then miscarriages should be treated &
investigated the same as infanticide by the state and by churches and
everything.
If an embryo isn't a person, then why should abortion be considered
immoral? I suppose because it's yucky - just like homosexuality. If
I'm uncomfortable with it, then it must be immoral. Not a valid
reason at all, but lots of evil is committed with this motivation.
Those who believe that abortion should be mostly illegal - but allowed
in the case of rape or incest seem to me to be saying "good girls
should be allowed to have abortion - but bad girls should be punished
with motherhood". I don't believe anybody believes that
infanticide is acceptable after rape or abortion - so these people
obviously don't believe abortion is murder and embryos are obviously
not people.
