There are things in the world, aye... my wont is to try and walk the
fine line of Getting the Job Done While Not Doing Your Job For You.

Part of Doing One's Job is Knowing What One Wants Done... and I barely
know what *I* want, let alone anyone else. One of the things that was
part of this back-and-forth was along the lines of:

End-user: 'Oh, and I probably want (field1 & field2) or whatever it is
that I can use to determine (function).'

Me: 'It is difficult to generate computer code which reliably produces a
'probably or whatever' operation; something a bit more specific might be
of help here.'
