The page itself tells how "official" its contents are, at the bottom of the
article:
"NIHIL OBSTAT: I have concluded that the materials
presented in this work are free of doctrinal or moral errors.
Bernadeane Carr, STL, Censor Librorum, August 10, 2004"
Catholic.com is not an official organ of the Catholic Church, but the
information presented there is in line with the official teachings of the
Church; you'll find the Nihil Obstat ("Nothing Hinders") at the end of most of
their articles.

It's time to throw all their damned tea in the harbor again.
