I understand this, of course. The reason I asked about this particular
issue is that it seems odd that a church claiming authority from Jesus
would specifically take up a practice that Jesus said "don't do" and
I asked how they viewed the situation. Perhaps they have a perfectly
reasonable and valid explaination that I would agree with. But I don't
know, because on this issue, all I have gotten for my trouble is abuse.
