The Geneva Convention covers treatment of captured combatants of a
recognised army and non-combatant civilians. I do not think that it
covers combatant civilians (terrorist).
As both sides appear to ignore the convention then perhaps it should
be abolished?

If individual prisoners were identifiable then the act of releasing
the film for public viewing would contravene the Geneva Convention.
Witness: the outcry that followed the release of film showing British
guards treating Iraqi pows humanely.
