Both religious factions appear to believe that neither you nor I have
the right to decide how to follow Islam but rather that we should
follow the Prophet's line or the Caliph's line. My reading of the
Koran (which has not advanced far in the last six months) leads me to
believe that each man (or woman) is free to choose how to worship
Allah and that they should not be forced to follow any specific line
or form of worship as that would be subjugation of the faithful
meriting an armed and violent response.
