This is just my "period" request that when you are replying to a thread and you
are changing the SUBJECT (*especially* if it is now "OT" - it would be REALLY
nice if you would also change the subject line.

Obviously, the current discussions on "trees in the US Southwest and how much
Tea and what flavor" are what prompted me to post this now.

I look at subjects (especially subjects of longer threads) and give priority to
those related to COBOL. It is a little annoying (to me) to have to weed thru
"likely sounding" threads - and for people who do NOT top post - how far I have
to read before I discover that the latest note has nothing to do with COBOL or
programming.

This is an unmoderated newsgroup, so you certainly may do what you want, but I
can at least REQUEST that you seriously consider changing the subject like when
you are changing the subject of your post.
